We stayed here for three nights check in was a breeze, the room was clean and comfortable. This hotel is located right at the flower market. This is convenient location for the sights on our list. Walking distance to everything with nearby access to public transportation. The daily buffet breakfast was a nice start to the day!

Disappointing Property Despite Very Nice Staff

The hotel is in a busy part of Amsterdam that is dense with tourists and related attractions. The staff are super nice and helpful. However, the hotel is dark inside and has a strange perfume-like odor that permeates the entrance. If you're sensitive to smells be forewarned. While it truly is located next to the (old) Flower Market, that market is now actually a row of stalls selling bulbs and tourist trinkets. Shame on me for not really checking that out as I thought perhaps this was really a true open air market with vendors selling real products like fruits, veggies, flowers, etc. as you find in other cities in NL. In my case I had checked into a room 640 that was permeated with sewer gas. Why the facilities staff had assigned me such a room is beyond explanation - other than perhaps inexperience. The front desk did reassign me to another room, but it was really a disappointment because it lacked a view and open air windows, which is what I had booked. My experience with the NH Hotel group over the years had been very positive until this visit. If I have to book a night in AMS I'll go to another hotel. It pains me to write this because I think the staff at the front desk are super nice and helpful. But this property was a let-down.

Disappointed. Location right in the touristic middle of the city is nice but very noise - in front you have a street full of bars and in the back a ventilation system that is still audible because the windows are barely sealed / quite old. The breakfast was worse than in other NH Collection Hotels, the rooms were quite smaller as well (and we're talking about superior 350€ per night rooms!). Parking is also quite hard, you have to pay ca. 50€ for their underground garage to even find a spot. The helpdesk was very nice though and tried to find a solution for the noise but of course they can't change the building. We were promised a 25% discount for a next stay at NH Collection Group Hotel - still waiting for it until now.

Such a disappointment. I have chosen this hotel based on pictures on trip advisor as rooms looked spacious and bright. To my big surprise room was with very small tiny window on one side, all other part of room was very dark and depressive therefore not nice experience for 4 nights and decided to leave earlier. Unfortunately service in the hotel is disappointing: - I have ordered room service 3hrs in advance to ensure it’s delivered on time as I had to leave room at specific time. It was not delivered, when after 30 mins of delay I have called reception advised the order will be delivered soon. The positive aspect of this situation was that I received breakfast for free and apology - Cleaning service and filling in the mini bar and basic products like coffee and water does not work - I had to call few times during my stay to ask specifically for re-fill which is quite disappointing. Location of the hotel is very good.
